Super Rugby Predictions (Weekend of 19 May 2012)

Hi all!

The predictions for this weekend’s super rugby action are ready. There are a few that I am not so sure about, but let’s see how the application does. Surprisingly the tennis predictions have had a higher accuracy over the last few days.

One of the weekend’s predictions that stand out to me is the prediction of the Bulls beating the Highlanders by 12 points… (Seems a little unlikely) I think the Bulls might just take it, but it will be very close. You can view this weekend’s predictions on the prediction summary page.

But, let’s wait and see. What do you think will happen this weekend?

Tennis predictions added for 15 May 2012

Weekend roundup 14 May 2012

What a great weekend of sport! So many awesome sporting events to choose from, I was nailed to my seat in front of the television.

My personal highlight for the weekend was Federer’s win in Madrid. Amazing! Back at no. 2 again. Let’s see if he can get that no.1 ranking from Djokovic. Do you think it is possible?

Then we had Matt Kuchar taking the Players with a 2 under par in his final round. Was some good golf to watch!

Apparently there was some exciting football as well… Hmmm… exciting football, who knew?

Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday after an incredible fightback which saw them score twice in injury time to beat QPR 3-2 and seal the title on goal difference. – Sport24.co.za

And then there was also the F1 that saw Maldonado take his maiden Grand Prix title! Well done to him! Ps. Do you guys think Schumie is planning on finishing any more races this year? Oh, and about the picture… I was going to post one with Pastor, but then I found this one…

And then there was of course, as always some Super Rugby. There were some upsets if you ask me. The Rebels beating the Crusaders for one! Crazy stuff, but well done to them!

On a prediction front I think it went pretty well this weekend. The application correctly predicted the Federer match as well as 5 out of 7 of the super rugby matches. At first glance it looks like the application’s accuracy with tennis matches has improved.

What was your favorite sporting event of the weekend?

Verdasco upsets Nadal on clay

Can you believe it? After being down a break in the final set, Fernando Verdasco comes back and beat Rafa on clay! How many times has THAT happened?

I think it must be the fact that the clay is blue now :P

Jokes aside though, what a performance from Verdasco! He has been on the losing end of some pretty tight encounters against Nadal of late, which makes it all the more impressive (And, I guess satisfying) for the Spaniard. And given his form of late it really was against all odds.
