It’s that time of the year when I start loving tennis again! The last few rounds of the first grand slam of the year. Damn, I love watching grand slams!

I’m hoping for a Federer revival in 2012, go Roger for nr 1 again! I must say, I don’t think it is such an unrealistic notion. Djokovic has a lot of points to defend and Roger didn’t win any grand slams last year. If he can improve this year and take a few of those grand slams off of Djokovic he might just reach that nr 1 spot that he needs for one more week to break yet another record.

It is also time to start making some predictions. I have spent some time on improving the application and I am also in the process of bringing it to the web so that anyone can use it. We should hopefully see an improvement in accuracy for the prediction application in 2012.

Thoughts on tennis predictions

It seems that my experiment with tennis matches wasn’t nearly as effective as the rugby world cup predictions. The prediction application achieved a lower than 65% accuracy, which in my opinion is not nearly good enough.

I will spend some time on improving the application for tennis predictions and then run another trial, hopefully during the australian open.

For now, keep watching the blog as I will be posting my thoughts on the year’s best sporting moments, news and upsets.
